We had a new visitor in the Spectrum office today, but he’s coming back for good at the beginning of 2014. We’re excited about this next big step for Spectrum!
Spectrum today announced Jonathan Wilson has been named the new President of the leading health and life science public relations firm, based in Washington, DC.
Mr. Wilson resigned as President of Chamberlain Healthcare Public Relations in New York, and is relocating to Washington with his family.
Spectrum founder John Seng continues as Spectrum’s CEO, and will assume the new title of Chairman of Spectrum Science Communications, Inc. He also retains his position as Chair of the GLOBALHealthPR partnership that he co-founded in 2001, after establishing Spectrum in 1996.
“Spectrum has reached an exciting transformational stage,” said Seng. “We’re growing across all sectors of our business and expanding current offerings to help clients better navigate a dynamic and changing landscape. Earlier this year, we initiated an aggressive search to identify the right person to accelerate our growth trajectory and expand our footprint in health and science communications. Given Jonathan’s experience driving strategy for major health care brands, his extraordinary business-building track record and his excellent reputation, I know he’ll make a measurable impact,” Seng added.
As the new President of Spectrum, effective January 2, 2014, Wilson will supervise of all facets of the business, including client counsel, business development, strategic direction, innovation and operations.
“I’m proud of everything that the team and I have achieved at Chamberlain, but could not be more excited about this move and the opportunity to work with the clients and people of Spectrum,” said Wilson. “Together, we’ll evolve in ways that are meaningful for our clients so that we can deliver the best ideas and programs that are relevant to today’s ever changing communications environment,” he said. “I’m ready to start.”
Wilson was with Chamberlain nearly 11 years, serving as President over the past four years, overseeing consistent growth at the firm. Prior to joining Chamberlain, Wilson was account director at Ketchum Public Relations in London.
